I think most of the clubs are out towards the desert areas where the trails are, but I could be wrong. I am up here in the AV and I found 2-3 clubs but 1-2 of them I hear are not that active. I attended one club meeting the other night so I will see how it goes.

I've been hitting some trails up in Frazier Park such as Miller Jeep Trail
Here's a pic of my XJ today at the peak and the morning before, camped out along Lockwood Creek:

Post the pic! I rode that secion many times on my dirt bike but not yet in a jeep but always wanted to. Some fellow riders had a tough time with it. Did you go up or down and was it difficult?

Just got back from a really fun camping trip in Sequoia National Park and alas I picked the perfect site (I have the coordinates of you want them)! I picked this site because it had, of course, off road trails galore! I thought the Buck Rock Jeep Trail was a good 30 minute drive through the mountain roads but it was actually 1 minute down the road in front of my site! I also have the OHV trail map of the area and when my dad and I got lost up there we decided to check the map. We ended up going on multiple advanced trails (my muffler slid off on one of them as my dad was descending down a trail and my jeep teetered and when the back right wheel slammed down the muffler slid of the cat). Anyway you can do it in a stock jeep, with sway bars connected like I did, but I HIGHLY recommend you don't because I touched cloth a few times while on those trails. I'd do it again though and it's a lonely about a 4 hour drive from LA (5 hours for me because I overheated on the grapevine). Anyways I'm down to go with anyone if you guys want to organize a wheeling trip at some point.Attachment 291077Attachment 291076Attachment 291078

We went up Miller Trail.
Overall not too difficult of a climb but there are a few tricky rock garden sections. Funny thing- we were about 3/4 up the trail and saw 2 jeeps coming down. We moved over at a section for them to pass, then continued on. 100 yards later, we are nose to nose with 15 more jeeps. First one is a stock Jeep Renegade and the driver was pale as a ghost

After an hour of jockeying we were able to pass and finish our climb.

If anyone wants to run Miller Jeep Trail next Saturday 7/16 i'll be headed up the trail at 9 am. Anyone interested, meet at the Deli corner of Frazier Mtn Park Road and Lockwood Valley at 8:30 am (about 7 miles from I-5)
For this run I'd recommend 3" lift min, 33" tires, 4lo and sliders. Lockers preferred but it can be done without. Run takes about 8 hours. Bring drinks and lunch
Please PM me if you plan on going
