Well I started a post for the Vandenberg AFB area but would extend the range to Edwards since there are no hits in my area - plus there seems to be better wheelin out in the desert areas anyhow. Let me know if you guys get out and about - I also do all my own work on my XJ - interior, lift, gears, and stuff. Just looking for some good folks to wheel with too.

Alright, I can't be the only one on Edwards AFB to have seen a few sweet XJs wandering around. I wish mine could get out of the garage *pats his XJ*

I am a Marine Reserve at Edwards. I used to be active duty there several years back. I live in Whittier now. Keep an eye out for me Sunday Nov 6th between the Desert Inn and hanger 1210 next to the test pilot planes. Can't miss our helicopters out there on the line.

I grew up out by Edwards AFB (live in Denver now). I used to know that entire desert like the back of my hand. My dad still lives out there but I've yet to hit it with my XJ. I do know that out by North Edwards, there are a lot of fun hills and rocky terrain to explore. Watch out for "off the grid" people though cause some of em can get territorial. Basically anything North of North Edwards and east of cal city is a fun time exploring.

I go out to North Edwards all the time, hunting rabbits and whatever else crawls around there. Also a real cool area just to wheel around. Pm me if you plan a trip into that area, we also train our hunting dogs there.

Will do! My dad and grandpa still live there so I usually visit once or twice a year. Last time I was there I ended up jumping my rental car on a back road and making the oil filter flat and destroyed the oil pan. So this year I'll probably trailer my XJ out there as I plan to visit family/meet CF people/hit trails all over California. I'm going to enjoy this vacation!

It's alive, ITSSS ALLLIIVVEEEE!! So I'm going to frankenstein this thread because all of you seem to go Wheelin near Mojave. I went on a Wheelin and camping trip 2 weeks ago and stayed in red rock and went Wheelin on jawbone, dove, and a little around Ricardo camp ground. I'm planning my next camping wheeling trip for Father's Day weekend in (hopefully) Sequoia Nat Park to enjoy some primitive camping with my dad. Anyone have any ideas of where to se up camp at and what the weather is like there at around that time? And also if any of you are down to meet up there to do some Wheelin that would be cool too!

I live about 20-30 mins away from Edwards, have a small group of buddies (5-6 rigs) who get together pretty frequently for trips in the area. Check out last chance canyon, dove springs, red rock, etc. Lots of trails out there.
