For anyone in the Chatsworth or surrounding area: Damian Smith is extremely honest and a huge Jeep enthusiast and Jeep expert. He's not the cheapest but if you want quality work by an honest guy, then he's the one to go to. He also built that widened yellow XJ that some might have seen in pics floating around the forum. Email is carkiwi@aol.com

Everybody check out IAmJake on YouTube! He's traveling the 50 states with his dog and his YJ converted to a CJ-7 and he will be hosting a San Bernadino wheeling meet one of these coming weekends. It was supposed to be yesterday but he had to postpone due to his dog breaking her leg I talk to him personally so I will update you all when I have a solid date!

The meeting spot is Blair Park. But since the trip was postponed for a few weeks without a set date for now.

Awesome! That is right down the street from me. Hopefully they take the Palm trail (2N49) up to Silverwood Lake. It has some awesome views and is not that difficult. The start of the trail is about 5 miles from the meeting spot. Let me know when you get more info. If I am in town and free, I am down to go.

The trip was canceled because the host's dog broke her leg and had to have surgery so he didn't want to have to bring her on the trails while she is recovering. He needs to keep moving along on his trip so one day in the future he might swing back to SoCal to have that off road meet.

On another note, does anyone have an AW4 and NP231 transfer case (or just one of the two) that I can buy off of you? I'm on a tight budget, and I mean tight, so at the moment the only way I can afford a replacement trans is by going to the pull a part jy and hope that one of the xj's their still has the trans and one that's in good condition.

I will be at Guffy Campground August 20-22. I only have a walkie talkie but I'll be on channel 1 (will update with privacy channel and which times I will have my walkie talkie on). Feel free to say hi if you're passing through!

Are you sure those trails are open? I tried to go up there a few months ago and everything was closed due to one of the fires. Even all the Lytle Creek trails were closed. I did not go all the way up to Wrightwood and try though. I was actually trying to get to Gobblers **** and its pretty close to Guffy.
