What area are you located?

You'll probably get away without the fenders for awhile here, but as soon as some sue happy tailgater gets sprayed with rocks from your tires, you might regret not getting them. I would just put some Bushwhackers on it or equivalent styling to your liking...but I see guys running around like yours all the time. I don't believe you need flaps by law....but don't quote me on that one.

Got those Coopers on my 'Cherishme' the other day...... super improvement over what was on it. Thanks Kager2002. Oh and the media blast and powder coating on those rims are running the same price down here. I may take them to Salinas....someone told me there is a place that will do them MUCH cheaper.....we'll see.

That looks like it sticks out similar or a little less than mine do. I dont have flares, but I could get a ticket for it how it is. I dont drive everyday in it, maybe a couple times a month so I dont worry about it, but if you DD it you for sure would be more likely to get tagged in short time

Thanks Hoooper,
You are absolutely right, as I neglected to mention the 'legality' of it. It was strictly my opinion with my observations around here. He should absolutely get fenders, but I don't think he will need the flaps [I]in addition to[I] the fenders in his case.
If it was me, I would just drive it out here, and try to get fenders asap. I don't think I would go as far as to tow it out here, and I would miss not driving it every day, as he said he did. What's the worst that could happen? A fixit ticket?
