Default What is the latest news on Reiter closures?

I was just looking online trying to find the latest news on Reiter 4x4 trails closures. What trails are open? What trails are closed? I would like to know about all of the trails but, the main trail I'd like information is The Lake Isabelle Trail. Is it closed or open right now as of 19 July 2009? Please post up with anything you all know from personally going there and seeing it or anything new you have heard or read online. Please post the DNR link that shows all of the latest news. I don't seem to be able to find it.

Thanks,

Buck

The Lake Isabelle Trail is closed. Mainly due to the fact that the entrance is the creek.

Is the trail block completely impassable or is there a "backway" in? I love that trail and I think it's bull**** that a 7-8 mile trail is blocked off because you have to cross a creek right at the trail head to get on it. Let's build a bridge not block off one the coolest trails I've ever been on.

I agree!!! it is one of the best trails i have ever been on also. As far as being impassable... I am unsure. but Im sure as you know if you are caught the fine or penalty could be hefty. I personally have not been up there to see what the blockage is so I couldnt tell you if it is passable or not, but I remember seeing some pics on either here or NAXJA with the nice cement blocks in front of that trail.

Well, then we just need to get to work getting the trails opened back up by going through the proper channels. Which governement agency controls Reiter Trails, DNR, Forestry service, the state, the county, who?? Give me links if you know them.
