It's better than doing the regular internet bashing many people do about some else's rig. I get so tired of nothing but critiques when somebody throws up pics.
Brandon, I thought you would go over the knuckle before you started on the body. I mean you Jeep is practically new. By the way did you see these yet http://www.hdoffroadengineering.com/...ame-stiffeners

Definently in my price range.

Ok so I have some tires I got from 1987xj being put on wheels I got from MAC.
They will be ready Wednesday.

I need to get some penatrating lube to do my rear lift. I got all of the bolts spinning but not while holding the nut.

I am hoping by the end of this long weekend I will be lifted with wheels and tires

Leo, I got some PB Blaster you can use to soak them with.

Where are you doing your lift at?

Oh, I replaced my rotor and cap today, the little hesitation went away.

Mac I might swing by some time on Tuesday if I need it. I am sure I can get to it now. I just needed some more muscles. So I had a friend come by and he loosened most of the bolts.

Mac just working on it in front of my house. Doing one side at a time. I really don't have the time to set aside to just get it all done. So I got things loose today. I plan on getting the ubolts loose. Then hopefully I can get the driver side rear done.

Bobby, those are some cool frame stiffeners you found. The price IS the best I've seen, too.

My rocksliders do a pretty good job of stiffening up the body on my XJ. It is pretty creepy when I really flex it out, though, and I can daylight trough the door frames momentarilly.

how would you go about puting the stiffeners on? i guess welding, but i thought that i is not good to weld on stuff to the frame of the xj on the account that it is so light weight. or dose it not matter when you are welding down the whole length of it?

just out of curiosity dose anyone have a non c clip 35 or a 8.25, even a d44 they want to sell? thanks -tom-

bobby, yes i have seen those frame stiffeners and they are actually on my list of items to buy. they definitely are the best price around and look like they should work decently. oh and i was thinking about doing over the knuckle but the tie rod i got seems to sit a little higher than the stock one. it may be just the diff cover that makes it look like that thou. but i will leave it until it starts to become an issue.

So I got my 3 inch lift in my jeep. Only problem is I can't get the front eye of the leaves to line up with the mount on the body. So now I can't fit the bolt through. I will see what I can do with it Sunday.

jeepnleo, did you try to mount the leaf springs to the body mount first then to the shackle mount? that may be easier

Well, I got home from Nevada on Thursday. My son and I went for a ride in my Jeep and the first time I hit the brakes it darn near went off the road, it pulled to right so hard. I took it home and pulled the drivers side front wheel off to find a locked up left front brake. I compressed it with my C clamp and then took the caliper off and lubed the slide bolts and brake pad ends then my son helped me bleed all 4 brakes really good. It is driving much better now. Funny how it broke just from sitting for 2 weeks. Man, Jeeps are just like jets in that they break of you don't keep driving them everyday. I also washed the rest of the muck off of it from the Reiter trip a couple weeks ago. It's all ready for the next wheeling trip, now.
