So to fixed my ripped out shock mounts I went ahead and made up new ones on some flat plate and plated the unibody in a small area to distribute the force my evenly. Should hold up much better then the old setup.
Yea so the welds in these pics arnt the best but when I did the passenger a side I took alittle more time to clean up the frame so the welds are better over there. Was kinda being lazy on the drivers side.

I honestly did. But couldn't commit myself to cutting up the fender wells just yet.
The plan for the Jeep as of now is to build up the hp44 front, and find a suitable rear axle to build up. After picking up the Comanche I have had the want to coast on mods to the xj body. And down the road swap everything over to the mj. So the plan is to stick to moding only to bolt on things that are swappable.

Well got some work done on the hp 44 today, got the wedges cut off. What a pain in the *** that was. Tomorrow I will be going to pick up a complete set of waggy axles with my buddy for his Jeep. Then I will be cleaning up the whole axle and getting ready to narrow up. Pictures to come later.

Well got all the axle mounts stripped from the hp44. Tubes are all cleaned up and ready to be narrowed up as soon as I get my new porta band blades in the mail. Of course here is the pics.
Well for ****s and giggles I also picked up a green sticker. For 2 reasons, it's lime green and my Jeep would be a bad *** zombie killer unit. Haha I'm a green freak for those that don't know it.

Well I ordered up some generic brackets from ballistic fab, that I should be able to make work to mount the 44 under the Jeep with stockish mount locations.
And have a possible buyer for my old axle which will speed up the build due to funds. We will see. More updates soon.

Well I have priced out the total cost left for the 44 swap. It looks like I will be right at around 1000 left in cost to complete it. 820ish in parts. And 200 for the install of the gears.
Also went ahead and ordered up new calipers, new hard wear kit, a ram master cylinder, and a few little odds and ends to replace old worn out parts that came with the axle.
