This is the 4wheeling trip you guys don't want to miss. If you have been to Reiter Pit before, then you know what I'm talking about. If you have never been to Reiter Pit COME WITH US if at all possible!!!!!!!!!!! This place is great!!!!!!!!!! You won't be bored or disappointed. My mission for this trip is to get on and run the Lake Isabelle Trail. Run it clear past the log bridge, through the slide area and all the way to the top.
I've heard rumors that the Lake Isabelle Trail has been closed at the May Creek crossing..........Then, I have heard no it is not closed..........Then, I have heard it is blocked to non 4x4 vehicles but, 4x4 vehicles. I am going to check it out with my own two eyes so I can finally see if my favorite trail at Reiter has been closed. If it indeed has not been closed to 4x4s then we will run it first. If you get bored with this trail then you need to give up 4wheeling and take up jumping out of perfectly good airplanes or something like that.

COME ON PACNORWEST CF CHAPTER. FORGET THE PETTY EXCUSES AND GET IN YOUR JEEPS AND COME OUT TO REITER PIT WITH US. HECK WE'RE EVEN GOING ON SUNDAY. WE'RE GIVING YOU FRIDAY NIGHT AND ALL DAY SATURDAY TO SPEND WITH YOUR WIFE, KIDS, SQUEEZE OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE. HECK I SAY BRING THEM ALONG IF THEY ARE INTO 4WHEELING.

Where are the big blocks at that are blocking the Lake Issy Trail. Are you talking about the big blocks out by the black top road? Or are there blocks by where the trail crosses the creek?

I'm thinking I can find a way to get across the creek and to the trail. It really sucks to block off such an awesome trail just because you have to cross the creek to get to it and a bunch of enviro-nazis think that we are disrupting the silt and fish beds and all that in the creek by crossing that very small all rock section of the creek.

Very cool, Bobby!! I hope all is well with your Jeep. We can meet at the Fred Meyer in Monroe. Post up when you decide if you're going for sure. Then, we can figure out a good time to meet up.

We had an awesome run up at Reiter Pit, today. We started out by checking out the Lake Isabelle, The big cement blocks and a tree that was about 2 feet thick went clear across the road just before you go down in to cross the creek. So, we decided to go run a couple other trails with our new friends Adam and Matt. They both are TJ guys but, hey no other XJs showed and they asked us if they could tag along with us. We ran a trail that took us from the power lines back to the camping area. Then, we went a ran the Sack-up trail. It was a very fun trail. We were going to run Rhinoland next but, it started getting to be late afternoon. That combined with the realization that we had a 2 hour drive home helped make the command decision to stop and head out. Guess we will start with Rhinoland next time.....and there will be a next trip to Reiter for us soon.
