Looked in criagslist. Found 124 cherokees listed from 1 to 2000.

Even if half are grand cherokees. That leaves you with 62.

Then if half of those are crap. Then you have 31 to choose from.

Start looking

LOL...they all pretty much leak oil. Mine needs a new rear main seal, and has needed it for quite some time, but that doesn't stop her from being my daily driver, getting 18mpg town and 20 hwy, or from roasting the tires off in three gears.

Buddy of mine just picked up a 91 XJ that needed manual hubs installed and a new clutch for $500 bucks...damn good deal, just got to go look at them.

Good luck!

Take a gander at some of these...(gaurantee you can find stuff wrong, like leaks or blown hatch struts, etc...but c'mon...for under $2k you gotta expect a fixer upper.)
Again, good luck!

Default thanks

Yea I'll be out searching this weekend too. I wish I had a garage and a trailor because I found a 94 xj with a mint interior and exterior that just needed a head gasket. But I'm set on finding a jeep.

Tell your buddy good luck finding manual hubs for an XJ for under $1000. Mile Marker sells a kit for around $1000 and Warns kit is $1500.

He seems to be going towards the idea of pulling the driveline out and running it as a 2WD like mine...I think he is making a poor choice, personally.

If it had four it should keep four, IMHO.

I will sell you mine. Let me start with the bad. CPS is probably bad, I have a rough idle and hard to start it just started about 3 weeks ago. I have the CPS with me I just need to swap them.
Oh and its a renix.

The good. Its a 4.0l it has a 3 inch lift it has sliders it has damn near new tires. 31x10.5r15. I trimmed the fenders it looks great not a hack job. Look at my photos.

Oh and it has new exhuast. Passenger side u joint replaced. And a custom intake. I am also working on a new front bumper. There are pics.

Look at my signature and check the link for photos

Tires if you got brand new about 150 a piece.
The wheels with a proper offset new about 40 to 50 a piece.
The sliders 200
The intake 60
The trimming free yet saved you the time.
The lift about 200
The bumper about 100

So the parts are about 1200 to1400 new.
I honestly got the jeep for 900.

So about 2300 if you did it all.
But I got some of these parts used so how about 1700. That is about 600 off.

Honestly make me an offer.

If you want to know why I am selling. its because I want a wrangler.

If you do decide to buy I will install the CPS and make sure it is running back to the way it should. You can also have an extra set of wheels and tires that have 31s on them also but there is only about 30% left on those.

I am in no rush eithier 1700ish is not enough to get a decent wrangler. And it sucks to 4x4 less

I know what your saying buck. I am in no rush to sell it. I just miss my old wrangler. Sounds weird I know.

It would be nice to keep it and buy a wrangler.

What happens happens.
