Default clutch help

Clutch is going out in my 93xj, has the ax15. Anyone want a side project or know of someone who does, or last resort, a good shop, that's local to portland/o.c area? I can lend a hand in the process, and pay, just trying to keep from having to go the shop route. Rather keep the money in the wheel in community. Thanks-Josh

I dont mind making the trip. Still seems to drive and shift just fine. I just have to be easy on the throttle and ease through first part of each gear. What is your availability like?

Have a preference in type of clutch I should buy? Also, any idea what you will charge? I want to make sure I have the funds set aside. As of right now, the 5th works for me.

I usually charge $200 for the labor. As for a clutch kit any decent car quest or Napa kit. Also get the slave cylinder because it's internal and once you mess with it a lil bit it will start leaking. Lol

My brother and I about 6 months ago changed out slave cylinder, because it was leaking. Didnt think to replace clutch at the time as it wasn't problematic. He moved way up to centralia, and his jouse with the semi truck lifts and all are now but a distant memwory. I will just get a whole clutch kit with it all. Any kits in particular to steer clear of? I was looking into the centerforce ceramic set or the lucht? Sp? But I will get it all so it is in hand. Also while we are at it, and if you're willing, I need to replace track bar, axle side bushing. I tried manually to remove the torx nut, but it wouldnt budge for me. It causes no problems when weather is dry, but for some reason whenb it gets wet, it clunsk and moves at that bushing.

Thank you thank you...After a day of downs, having clutch completely burn out on my way to brandons, having to have it flatbedded, driver ending up in jefferson, a ways past stayton, and the minor issues we ran into, and driving home only to have it not start after turning it off...oops, only to find I pulled starter wire outta the battery when unhooking, we got it done.

Thank you to Brandon, and cherokee forum for being here. This is what its all about folks, helping each other, meeting great new people and forming bonds the greenies can't break. Class 1 guy here people. Good meeting you and your family. Can't wait till ya get your rig up and running, so we can go break more stuff.
