The three wired lights are labeled. One says ground. One says minor. The other says Major. These words are written on the light bulb socket where the wires go in.

No..... If you and I are talking about the same light 97+XJ, each bulb socket, has three slots. Major, Minor, and ground. Thats two wires for the reverse, two wires for the blinker, then THREE Wires for thebrake lights.

tail and running light go together, then the brake and turn go together, then run all your ground to one wire, make sure you run a heavy duty grote turn signal flasher. i think you run that on the ground side and brake and turn wires.

Need so help with this. Wired my 90 XJ with the 4" round led light using rusty's housings. The lights work. Just when use blinker left or right, the Reds blink (both) with turn signal. With head lights on this problem isn't noticed.

P.S. - If you are talking about the normal old style 1156 bulb/ socket (most cars from 1960s thru 1990s), then what the guy above was saying is: there is 1 + (positive) connection for dim, 1 + for bright and 1 - (negative), wire accordingly.
