Yikes! Its gunna rain and my Wipers dont work!
Hey yall! Long time no talk. haha Mostly because my Jeep has been keeping me proud! Well, I've had this problem for a while, but just never got around to fixing it. But with the rainy season fast approaching, I think it needs to be resolved.
My front windshield wipers are not working! We checked the fuse under the dash (fuse panel box) and it was okay. So we then checked the motor, it is not getting any power.
So we dont really know where to go from there. Could it be the switch? or maybe something else?
Any advise would be very much appreciated!
Thanks!

Thanks, Ill check the box and see if it is pluged in. Is there anyway to test to see if that could be the culprit?
I checked that link, it pretty much said to check fuses and the 'box'. Is there more than 1 fuse? If so, where would they be located?
I drive a 93 Country.

I will check to see if there is power.
If there isnt power to the box, then the wires must be cut, or have a short, right?
And if there is power to the box, then the box is trash and I should head to a junk yard right? - Are there different models? Or does pretty much any one from a Cherokee work? (cuz I do know that there are differnt models for the wiper motors...)
BUT if there is power to it, this might not be the culprit, right? If so, any other tests that could be done?
Thanks Yall!

if there is no power to it then check power to the switch, the harness is located on the colum on the right side,it is black, blade type connector, there is several wires on it,not sure which one is the power supply,it is also for your blinkers, turn on your key and check for power,if there is power there, then check power to the delay module.
To trace it go from fuse, switch, delay module, motor, and washer pump. you will find power along the line and the problem. I suspect the module is the problem.

Well just an FYI, we figured it out. Ya see, when I got the Jeep it was a sack, the previous owner cut wires, and messed up a lot of stuff. After the rebuild we thought we got everything figured out. Well he used to have a wire (paper clip) jump on the fuse panel under the dash (not sure if I am explaining this correctly) and when we saw it a while back, it was removed because we thought it was some kind of okie rig. Well turns out it was, and it was for the wipers! We checked everything and couldnt figure it out, except my hubby remembered how it was jumped and he jumped it again, and sure enough the wipers came to life! I sure there is something else besides a paper clip that is suposed to be there. But for now, they work until we can hit the junk yard for the exact part. Hopefully this wont cause any problems, but at least I have wipers for the rain!
Thanks for all the help guys!
