need help.. was going down steep hill and jeep shut off
ok so i went 4x4ing today and i was going down a steep hill and the jeep shut off on me and now it dont start i put it level and it still dont wanna start?? please help cuz my jeep is still stuck in the mountain and now im home.

no i didnt check under there i didnt think of that i would have to do that in the am.. well there for a min it wasnt getting fuel then it got fuel but it didnt have spark and never made spark. ?? maybe that would narrow it down a bit??

if its cranking and cranking but not turning over i would check the cps i went thru a small water hole and that made mine poop out on me they are like cats they do wtf they want

Sounds like a bad crank position sensor. Can you verify, if you have spark, fuel? No spark = likely bad CPS, but check anyhow, if all ignition related wires are connected properly (plug wires, coil, distributor), and all the grounds are good. If you have no fuel, likely, the fuel pump went out. I don't know the procedure for a '91 Chero, but if you could pull stored engine codes, you might find the culprit quicker.

it started getting fuel. but never got spark. so what size are those two bolts that hold it in place? would be alot of help. and how hard is it to get back there would i need a wrench??

im pretty sure there is a write up on it but you are gonna need wrenches and about 3 ft of extension and a swivel and it helps to unbolt the crossmember so that you can lower the trany to reach the two bolts better, ive never seen a sensor placed in a worse spot

You'll have to get under the car to get to it. Something else you could check before you do that are the fuses and relays in the engine bay fuse panel/power distribution center.
