Wipers quit and i dont know why
My wipers stopped working today while driving in a down pour. They were working just fine till they weren't. I've tried every speed setting and even the sprayer. Sitting with them supposed to be on high I can't hear it trying to work. I checked the fuses. I have no idea what's wrong. Any ideas?

quick fix is to blast cold air at your feet if it happens again on the road.
There a fuse thingy (not really sure what its called) on the fuse panel my the drivers foot. Its 1" wide, 1/2" tall and like 3/4" thick silver box with two tabs on it. (I'm great at describing stuff, arent I?) That thing is going bad, I fixed one by carefully taking the cover off and bending the metal so it would take more heat to break the circuit. I havent had much luck finding one at the parts store.
I think its called the fuse breaker for the wipers

The thing is a fail safe so when the wipers draw too much current, the metal coil inside of it heats up and opens to break the circuit. thus no wipers out of no where.
Either bend the internals of yours, get one from a junkyard via 5 finger discount, or find one at a store/stealership

I fiddled with both. Neither what I'm looking for I think.
Off topic but dang, I can't imagine a guy down there on the floor boards messin with that stuff. There was barely enough room for me!

the first box I messed with was the right one according to this *I think* still didn't make them work though. I'll go down to the parts store tomorrow.
I lied earlier. When running I can hear the click click......click click.....that the wipers would have made when they were working. even when turned in the off position. and i don't know if it makes a difference but I can't move them manually.

Replaced the fuse. Kinda. Still not working though. I'm gonna try to find a motor that is not going to cost a hundred bucks and figure out how to replace it. Anyone got a diagram or can explain where the wiper motor is located?
