Wiper Blade size
My 2000 XJ has gone through countless wiper blades. No matter what size I get, they never seem quite right. My main problem is that the tips hit either the cowl at the bottom of the windshield or the driver side pillar at the top. Tips keep tappin, cold cracks the rubber blade, streaks, replace, rain, rinse, repeat . . . So what size is OEM? What a stupid question, I know, I know, I know . . .

Your rotating assembly under the cowl is worn out. Open the cover and pull out the drive assembly. Make sure all the mechanical connections are tight so that it doesn't overtravel.

I replaced the bushings and mine were still sloppy. I noticed the swaging at the passenger wiper pivot was no longer tight. So I got a better wiper transmission from the local JY. It's better now but not perfect.
