My guess would be the switch on the passenger door needs replacing.

Yeah check for lose wires and also maybe get a volt meter on the connectors/wires to make sure ya got juice to them..If ya have juice and the wires and connections look good head to the bone yard and get a new switch and call it good..

Xj2010 Check rear windows too. None of mine will work but from the drivers door! I think it is the power lock switch because sometimes they will work from the right door. Let me know.

I'd say the pass door switch. If it was affecting all of the windows then I'd say the master lock switch on the dr door. Simce it's just the one, the problem should be in that door. Hope this helps!!

i have had this problem all many times now. i am really fed up with my 2005 jeep cherokee. the rear and passenger window motors blew up four times times and now the driver window motor has gone. i got two of the repairs done within the 3 year warranty the other two i had to pay over US$150/- each. now that my driver window motor has failed i am really fuming. i have used other models of cars in the past toyota, bmw, mitsubishi and none gave similar problems. with the cherokee in just over 3 years this is the fifth time. Jeep guys really need to clean up their act.

Its all in the luck of the draw.... sounds like you have a short or something causing that? i dunno but id check the voltage going to those windows, or maybe the fuse is passing to much

You must have a foreign intended Cherokee for it to be a 2005. Those are off our radar here in the USA. Hope you get it solved because Jeeps are well made and are easily repaired without a lot of money. Would hate for them to get a bad rap for a foreign intended Jeep that we can't help you much with.

I've rebuilt/replaced a ton of those window motors in my time, and it really comes down to the luck of the draw... Check the harness going into it for corrosion, lube it up with some dielectric grease, other than that, look to see if water is getting into the motor unit somehow, that's a huge cause of failure, which means your window seals might need a good looking at...

I have the same problem with mine, except mine will work intermittently. I took the door apart and cleaned out the switch box with some electrical parts cleaner and checked the connectors for continuity. Since I had continuity I determined that the switch box probably was faulty. So I took a trip to the junkyard and found that a new switch box was 80 bucks!! There also 150 at the dealer so I decided to put that fix onto the backburner for now. My passenger will just have to be at my mercy for air for now.
