my alternator was bad. I had all the normal signs of a bad alternator heat wouldnt blow out good unless i was giving it gas lights were dim all that stuff....been like that probably 2 week. then i started hearing a pretty high pitched winding noise that got worse when i gave it gas. figured that too was the alternator. well i just changed it and the elec problems are all gone but i still have that noise. maybe 6 months ago i put in a idle pully so i do thing thats it. im thinkin its the a/c but a/c is blowing cold and the noise doesnt change when i turn on/off a/c. any ideas?

 

Look at your water pump. There is a small port on the bottom that leaks a little antifreeze when they go bad (Most of the time ).

 

X2 on the W pump...pus it could be the AC compressor bearing...Tj

 

ok heres what i found. i took belt off and the water pump seems solid and is pretty quiet when i spin it. idle pully as a good amount of play and makes noise when i spin it thing is thats only 6 months old....and the a/c is solid but makes some noise when i spin it. what do u think?

 

was just idle pully and was under warranty. shes like new AGAIN.
