take off your flares and check out ebay for spacers you can get them much cheaper than those ones from fat bobs and they are pretty much exactly the same

this is just a stock jeep on 30x9.50x15 with front fenders trimmed to the outline of the stock flares and the rear is cut and folded I'd say it lets the tire stick out about 2''

well, let me ask you this: do you have a general plan on what lift is going on? do you plan on replacing the wheels at some point? and what size tire are you planning to run after the lift is put on?
usually, spacers are relatively safe as long as you don't stack spacers (garunteed breakage!), and have the lug bolts torqued to spec.
another site to check out is Rigged Up. they have spacers that range from 1" to 2". they are about another $10-20 more than some other brands out there, but they are a quality product.

take the cash you're gonna spend on spacers, and just grab a set of used steelies with 3.75 backspacing. you'll want them later anyways. they usually go for around 150 bux for 4.

i'd say look into some steel wheels (aka: steelies), even though an 11" wide tire is not too drastic, getting a wheel with 4.5" to 4" backspacing will be more than enough to keep it from rubbing the control arms, and will also allow you to run some slightly larger tires in the future if you plan on going bigger and badder (like everyone else ). you can even find good deals on new steel wheels that run around $50 per wheel online if you don't feel comfortable buying used.

any aftermarket steelie like american racing AR767, cragar soft 8's, or pro comp series that are 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern.
an 8 inch wide rim will be good for up to a 12.5 inch wide tire and 3.75 inch backspacing. you can get away with 4 inch or 4.25 backspacing, but may rub on control arms if you get a wider tire than 11 inches.
the lower the backspace number will move the tire towards the outside of the jeep.
