What size tires for Jeep XJ with 4" lift
My 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport came with 265x70R17 wheels which rub while off roading. I am thinking of buying 31x10.50R15 Dick Cepek Mud Terrain tires. Does anyone know if these will rub with a 4" lift and stock fender flares?

They might rub on your lower control arms at full cut depending on what wheels you have but they probably won't rub the fenders. You could probably run 32x11.5 without rubbing.

You really should consider some trimming on the fenders so you can run a proper size tire with a 4" lift like a 33" or 35". You can trim some and still keep the stock flares if you desire. One of the keys to what you want to do is the proper size wheel if 15's then a 15x8" with 3.75" of BS with that wheel I ran a 33x12:50x15 on mine with stock U/LCA's and a 3" lift.
I now have 4 1/2" of lift and run both 33's and 35's both 12:50's. IMHO 31's will look a bit small on a 4" lift, more like a 33" tire. Here is an older photo of mine with a 3" lift and 33x12:50x15's and the second with 4 1/2"'s of lift.

Thanks for all the input I guess ill but some 31's and hope they dont rub. If they do then i will trim the fenders as i don't have too much money to spend on extra parts.

I have a 3in lift with very little trimming. I run 32x11.5's and I think I've rubbed like twice.
