Default what gears do i have
i tried searching but didn't really find an answer. i have 1992 cherokee sport 4.0 HO auto and I'm trying to figure out what gears i have. i know the axle is a chrysler 8.25

You have 3.55:1 axle gears with your set up. Your 92 sport is the same exact set up as my 91 sport.

To find out for sure you can call the dealer and give them your vin and they can tell you . Thats what I did.

Did you check for the metal tag bolted to the front or rear diff covers?

well, the AW4 has:
1st
2nd
3rd
4th
and TC Lock
Oh, and REVERSE

lol, all joking aside. You should have 3.55s..
