Default which weight?

Just acquired my cherokee the other day and tomorrow im gonna switch to mobil one. My question is given the time of year, and where i live here in NC, which weight should i get? got 125k miles on it.

I think a 10w30 weight is more than sufficient for what you need. If it gets super cold down there then try 5w30.

I run 10w40, but I live in AZ and it gets hot here in the summer. Needless to say I will be switching back to 10w30 because I realized that my oil pressure is too high and my jeep doesn't seem to respond well to 10w40 weight.
