Water pipe/pump wont seal
Hello all!
I've replaced my waterpump and gasket recently. I cleaned all the pipes that connect to the W/pump and reconnected them.
The inlet to the pump keeps leaking though! I've tried removing it again and replacing it with a little gasket sealant aswell but it seems to still leak. Very slowly. I loose about 250ml over a 12 hour period. It also only leaks when the engine is cold. Im guessing that the expansion of the steel when the engine warms up causes the pipe to seal on the water pump.
Any suggestions? I was thinking of recleaning the pipe and refitting with some silicon? Sound ok?
