Vibration at 50 MPH
I have a 1998 Grand Cherokee Liminted. At 50MPH, their is a vibration on the front wheels and the steering wheel shakes.
What could my problem be? This just happens at 50mph...

Might need to add a steering stabilizer. My 1990 Cherokee has that problem and someone else recommended this to me. (But I'm lazy and have a new Cherokee and haven't fixed the old one yet, so take this with a grain of salt)

Welcome to CF. It might be as simple as a tire out of balance, loose lug nuts, or worn/loose front end components. Get it up on a lift and check everything out.

X2 on stabilizer. Also could be tire balancing or worn bushings, tie rod ends or ball joints, bearings or alignment you new to check those. Replacing the stabilizer may fix the vibe, temporarily, but may not fix the problem.

Baiscally front end vibrations can be caused by ANY of the front end components, tires, or steering components being worn, misaligned, or out of balance. It's really worth giving EVERYTHING up there a good thorough check, and repairing any worn parts. Most Jeep owners have to hunt down the cause of a front end vibration or "death wobble" at one point or another. I guess its sorta like your Jeep's way of letting you know it needs some attention, lol...

get an alignment, check your tire pressure/balancing, rotate them, steering, etc. a steering stabilizer will only mask the problem, it wont always fix it.
