Tires???
Looking to replace the tires on my XJ & YJ.....225/75/15....Looks like domestic brands are becoming obsolete, with basic selection of 'Chinese' tires ..... Any good sources out there?

There are plenty of good tires out there. You might start with https://www.tirerack.com/content/tir.../homepage.html and do some research. It's a good site to find tires. Lot's of analysis, testing and reviews. Then once you narrow it down, shop your local tire shops for the best deal.

No shortage of Goodyear Wranglers @ 235, ..OE on my XJ is 215....My point was a short time ago 15" were common & all over, now they are becoming a thing of the past......not impossible today, but something to plan for....Just refusing to have Chinese tires........

03 Marauderman- There are nowhere near as many options as there were years ago being that 15" rims are much less common today. 225/75R15 usually costs more than the 235/75R15 (which boggles my mind). My door tag originally called for 195/75R15 (I think). I upgraded to 235/75R15 because it looks good in the wheel well.
I know that Goodyear still makes the Wrangler Radial 235-75R15, which is what I got on my 92. I got them last black friday at walmart, they were about $275 for all four, mounted and balanced. My Jeep does not get used often, and it never sees snow, so I was not as concerned with their performance. I know Goodyear still makes the Trailrunner AT in 235/75R15, which would probably be a better bet if off road / snow performance is a concern.
On another note, I take it from your username that you own an 03 Marauder. Do you like it? I have a 01 Grand Marquis that belonged to my grandfather that I love driving, but I always thought about getting a Marauder. I figured it would give me a little more performance with the same ride quality.

I have all 3 - an 88 MJ an 88 XJ & a 91 YJ...... My MJ does have the Goodrich 235/75/15... I just think there just a bit too big in the front, they look good in the rear, but everyone has their preference...Both my XJ & YJ have 225/75/15 & I think their just right, although the XJ came new with 215/75/15...It still has the original Michelin X spare that has never been on the ground....I guess I just took it for granted that these size tires would be around forever....I'll just have to have my local owner operated tire dealer try to locate 2 sets....Sam's Club used to have rows of them, & now they don't even carry 15" SUV tires...
Yes I do have an 03 Marauder, 36k miles, just an outstanding comfortable performance car....basically a garage queen....Like the tires, Marauders are getting rarer by the day, and also like the tires, the 'Panther' platforms have also become obsolete....Can't warm up to Chinese products or electric cars...lol..... I'm stuck in the 4.0 world......

Looking on Tire Rack for 225/75-15, there are 5 options. Two all-terrains and 3 all-seasons.
Here's a link to those options.
Stepping up to 235/75-15 gives you a bunch of more options, but there are some 225 tires available, and not that cheap Chinese junk.
EDIT: Can't get that link to work properly. Just go on TR and search for 225/75-15.

My Jeep is a 2wd..daily driver...I am on my second set of 265/70R15 tires. My first set in that size were Copper Discover. They really didn't have that good of a ride. I now have 265/70R15 Yokohama Geolander's and the ride is unbelievably smooth and crisp. Have no clearance problems front or rear with the exception of full lock left or right, and it has to be at full lock to rub. Suspension is at stock height with no modifications. And they look real good
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the comeback guys, & yes I did already search tirerack.com....I'm learning that there are more 225/...for trailers than SUV's....Infact Firestone is about the only domestic & reasonable priced all terrain SUV tire coming in @ $102.99...before add ons....All of this is happening today, this week, this month....I'm not comfortable that this size will be around much longer for SUV's. Kinda wondering if this is present stock in warehouses, TOYO is a very good tire & pricey, but again the tire size & availability is the concern...All my vehicles are stock & have stock suspension...There are plenty of modified vehicles, where there are plenty of options for tire size.... And of course, China will come to the rescue & fill in the voids where the domestics have dropped off....Just not doing Chinese tires period....Kinda wanted the Goodyears, BF Goodrich, Michelin, but at this point the Firestones will work.....

There will probably be some kind of 15" tire available for quite awhile, but choices will be severely limited.
Wow, 36k miles is amazing. I remember back in 2009 I had a chance to buy a Marauder with about 15k on it, but it was 18,500 at a local dealer, and I just couldn't do it. There are a few Marauders here and there by me (NJ) but they are high mileage and not in the greatest shape. I don't think the Panther is obsolete just yet, still plenty of people go for them for basic, durable transportation.

Youtube the demolition of the St. Thomas Ford assembly plant in Canada.... the end of the Panther platform...gone by the way of the XJ.....These tires should be a wake up call to get them while you can....
