is it possible to swap my AW4 trans in my 97 XJ with a Chrysler 30RH 3-speed automatic?

I am not sure if this will be much help, but the aw4 was used on some 2.5 models, but the 30rh was not used behind the 4.0,the 30rh is a light duty trany, the aw4 was electronical controlled with a lockup converter, the 30rh had a lockup converter only. I would think it would bolt up,need to check the electrical to see if it could be swapped over.
But why not get another aw4,they are far superior to the 30rh.

I will probably just get another aw4 just thought it would save me some cash to switch over. the aw4 has toyota parts which makes it more expensive to rebuild.

You should be able to find a resonable aw4,I have heard about folks rebuilding aw4 tranys and having problems,I have no idea why because they are so bullet proof from the factory. I would do some research on here and internet.
