check your local parts store and see what they have....I prefer stacked plate type (B&M super cooler 70268)...but they are a bit more than other types of coolers (flex-a-lite 4120 tube style) .

I have a Hayden that came from a Motorhome and it keeps the tranny nice and cool.

our next project for my jeep is a super cooler. we were looking at the B&M because my boyfriends just used to getting stuff at summitracing.com i guess.
ive got a 99 cherokee with only 82k on it. hearing that the only downfall to a jeep is the chrysler tranny we were thinking the super cooler would be a good idea. i know it should be running at 210 but we were driving the other day and my tranny or exhaust was getting REALLY hot. we could feel it through the center console.
is it really worth getting a super cooler for the tranny or do you think its gonna go soon anyways. is it gonna lengthen the life of my transmission? and if im getting a super cooler i might as well put in new electric fans right? whenever i turn on the heat or ac i guess its the fans that are turning on and making a lot of noise.

All Cherokees warm the center console with the tranny thats normal, help keep my coffee warm in the winter. Any decent size trans cooler will help prolong the it's life.

The Center console usually gets a little warm from the trans.
I would get a cooler, just as some added insurance and to keep the jeep happy.
Also, the trans is not a Chrysler product. AW4 Stands for Aisin-Warner, and the AW4 is a variant of a Toyota transmission.
