Still can't get my jeep out of what I assume is limp home mode (wont rev past 2k rpms). Bought a new TPS sensor, but both the new one and the old one do the exact same thing. When uninstalled and using a screwdriver to simulate throttle movement, the voltage ranges from like 0.04 up to 4.80 or so. But when installed the actual nub that moves the TPS when you hit the throttle does not turn as far as the TPS can actually go, so the voltage while installed only goes from 0.06 to 0.200.
New ECU from the junk yard had no effect but showed "bad o2 sensor" code. Put in a brand new o2 sensor but that changed nothing.
I think I let the starter arc against the frame (forgot to unplug battery) so I think I fried something. Something that would cause low voltage readings from a brand new TPS, and show bad o2 sensor codes with a brand new o2 sensor.
Any ideas? I'm so frustrated that I'm just about to look into how to convert to carb.
