Post Tire size for 98 jeep

My jeep is 98 and has over 200 thousand miles on it. I need help on your opinion for a tire

I know the right size for tires are 225 75 15 for this jeep on mine particularly.

I have two good tires already that are michelin i think. I know that they are 225 75 15 102S. I am going to put them on the back because they arent brand new.

I am buying two new tires. I am either going to get "BFGoodrich Long Trail T/A Tour All-Season Tire" or "Firestone Destination LE2" I can get each of them for the same price. ( they are the only decent ones in my price range ) both are rated 102T

2 questions

Which tires are better? I have heard that BFGoodrich are great, but the firestone dest LE 2, have amazing reviews. I am mainly looking for tires that will give me the best highway ride, and not suck in the snow.

Also my second question is that these tires are 225 75 15 102T, while the two i already have are rated 102S. That is only the speed rating, and only have a 6 mph difference (And i wont ever reach that speed anyway) so is it okay if the tires have different speed rating but aRE the same exact size?

I would just get matching michlines but they are way way too expensive.

So please, BF goodrich Long trail t/a all season or firstone destination LE 2- remember i am looking for quality, and smooth ride, which is better?

70 view but no ideas? Im apologize if my question is confusing.

1.) SHould i get BF goodrich Long trail t/a OR Firestone Destonation LE2 - for everyday highway driving

2.) Does it matters if the back to tires are speed rated at 102S while the front are 102T if i never go up to the max speed? (tires same exact size)

Please if you have ideas let me hear. I apologize for some words being not clear

1. Probably doesn't matter. Check tirerack for reviews on both.
2. Doesn't matter. You aren't going to hit that speed anyway. Also they won't be the same size especially if two are new. If you're that strapped for cash check craigslist for tires or find a used tire place.

Thanks for the input. Base off the the reviews i will get firestone.

Its not that I dont have money, I just dont want to replace the back tires since they are the best tires and are rather newer, but I cant afford the michelins as they are 200 a peice at least, and the firestone are 90 something

235/70/15 is another viable option.

Default tire size 98 jeep

I ran 235/75R/15s on my 98 ZJ for many years...the Firestone are Good Tires,
but their are many brands that are available for $100 or less in a 225/75/15..

But..then I went Nuts, jacked it up and put BFG 235/85R/16s on mine

I'm in a similar boat as the OP, creepily similar actually lol.

There are plenty of tires under 100, but they are all... eh? like Kumho - which everyone whines that they suck, and Westlake - EWW... But I also found Hankook Optimo H724 for dirt cheap, like 70 bucks. I was really interested in these due to the price, and so many new cars use optimos, but no one seems to have any real input on these tires. The reviews aren't that great though. It seems to be a "You get what you pay for" tire which isnt terrible.

I was thinking of maybe going with those firestones too. Someone had mentioned them on my post. You cant beat a good tire for 99 a piece

Dunlop rover H/T is 108$ @ tire rack and matches your speed rating of the michelins.

I have no idea if they are a good tire, but i have heard good things about dunlop. Anyone feel free to chime in here
