90s are still the Renny system and need adjustment.

What toxic said. If it doesnt work right it wont shift properly and it has the possibility of it not shifting at all. Had out TPS sensor go out on our dodge on a 14hr roadtrip...that was great.

Default make sure

make sure your math is good...if your constand ohm reading is 4.69 then multply that (whatever your constant measures negative to the blacvk wire and positive to the grey wire) by 83% or .83 ...mine ended up being 3.892 which i rounded to 3.89 and the truck runs incredibly better than ever before...mine is an 89 so yours should be real close to my readings...good luck and let us kow what you find.

sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but I have an '88 XJ that my friends uncle did a stroker swap on 2 years ago and has been sitting since, because had issues idling. i did a '99 intake manifold swap at the same time and it may have a '99 TPS on it. could this be the reason it idles/dies cuz Renix ECU and '99 TPS don't speak same language?
