Suspension Upgrades
2001 Sport )4x4) w/ 175k miles has gotten a little "wobbly" (NOT the death wobble). Still driving good and true but "floats" on bumps and such. Besides shocks (about 2 years old with some off road mileage), what would be some things that I need to start replacing given the age/mileage. Just feels like she needs a little standard maintenance. Highway driving is fine, no shake or pull even at 70-80mph.

I would do control arms, sway bar end links, sway bar bushings. With these all freshened up it will drive nice. Check ball joints, tie rod ends, track bar for play and replace as necessary. Rock auto has these parts fairly inexpensive.

I generally find that MOOG OEM equivalent parts on Amazon beat Rock Auto's pricing for both budget and MOOG parts...
Also, x2 on Tsanni's recommendations. Also check your track bar, because it's always good to check your track bar when inspecting the front end.

I agree on parts but I would use a local auto parts store like AutoZone where they have a lifetime warranty and you don't have send them back in when they send the wrong parts. Support local business's or lose them all over a few bucks and who wants to wait for days on a simple part when they are gone.

I'm actually about to do this to my 2000. I purchased the following parts that are for a Grand Cherokee but are compatible with the Cherokee from amazon. They are thicker components:
DS1312
ES3096L
ES2079S
I also bought new Shocks and Steering Dampener.
I'm hoping all this makes my Jeep Ride Nice.

I went with AC delco for tie rod, drag link, rod ends, trac bar, and sway bar links. Only a couple hundred bucks total. Only the adjuster sleeve and stabilizer were not delco. Just don't buy the cheapest stabilizer u can find. That's what I did and it was leaking after 6 months. If it's getting loose over choppy bumps either shocks or spring are bad.

Fluids, cleaners, filters, gaskets, sensors, heck even starters and headlamps I usually order from a local store. Or the dealership for some OEM sensors.
It's a balance that keeps things affordable for my modest means...
