why would you want longer wheelbase on a street driven XJ?

It was sarcasm. Sorry, its late for me and I thought it was funny to ask the benefit of stretching the wheelbase on an as you say 'street driven' XJ. So I came up with a silly reason as to why you would want a stretched wheelbase.

I don't see why it would matter if the XJ is street driven or not. The time on the trails is what counts. Sure its a DD, but it will get wheeled hard.

Thanks Frank, any other leafs that will stretch it a tad more?

if you really want to stretch your wheel base, go 4-link in the rear and put the axle as far back as you want

Flip your existing leafs end for end. Good for a few inches.

Wrangler (YJ) springs will give you a 3" stretch. Flip your rears for 6". Both will require a bit of body work. When I put in my 60 my perches had holes for 3 positions, center 1" forward or back, I moved it back an inch to center it in the wheel well.
