Ok, the GC steering is direct bolt on, you dont need to modify anything. The difference between the XJ and the Gc is that the xj has two threaded TRE and a hollow bar they thread into.
The GC steering is a LONG TRE that connects the the drag link and then uses an adjustmeny sleeve to connect to the right side threaded TRE. Comparison pics below.

ok I am following you. On my 99 Xj I have to replace all three tie rods, and the drag link. I also need to replace the bushings on my upper control arm. I am going to replace probably the whole arm that comes with one bushing but i am having trouble find the second that does not come with it. My track bar is solid, it came with the lift kit. Anyway you can help me with part numbers in moog for the parts?

Heres my order from rockauto. I mistakenly ordered a MEVOTECH but ordered the right part after that.

Onlu unasked questioms are stupid. No worries man. The part numbers should be the same. Ive never heard of any issues. Tripple check on rockauto for your year but i HIGHLY doubt they would be different. My 97 parts are the drag link assembly, the GC parts are tie rod....the second picture is the moog TRE for the pitman arm end of the drag link.

Oh so the only thing that is GC is the long solid tie rod, the sleeve and short tie rods with it?
Also, would you recommend getting new adjustment sleeves?

BTW, i sprayed all bolts with pb blaster drove to work and sprayed again a few times the week beforehand and the night before. Also GET A PICKLE FORK. Makes life easy. I did the swap in 3hrs including putting in a new stabilizer. Make sure you measure your current length between the TRE. I went from bolt to bolt on top of the castle nut. This will at least get your new setup close to original alignment and drivable. Then get a professional alignment of course.

Well you need the one for the GC tie rod. The sleeve for the drag link..no...but i wanted all new stuff. The added benefit was that i was able to adjust everything by HAND. Simple turn of the wrist. I would buy both, yes. Just for convenience.
I bought a pipe wrench just in case but mileage my vary. Since youre pulling your drag link anyway the old sleeve will definately fit just fine. Saves a few bucks. Up to you.

I was thinking thinking of going new too. I see you have five tie rods listed. I know one is the GC long one with another tie rod, another is tie rods connected to drag link to passenger knuckle. What is the fifth?
