Speaker suggestions
I would like to ask for your suggestions for new speakers for my 1999 Cherokee/Classic. It has a Pioneer DEH-77DH for a reciver. I am looking for great sound quality with balance between highs and lows.
Thanks

Yep Alpine, Infinity and Polk are all good speakers. Just depends on your budget. I like my Kenwoods and feel for the money was a good buy. Then again I am to cheap to spend much on a sound system..I guess gun shy after having a nice car stolen out of my driveway..

My $80 Xplod head unit that I got 4 years ago has far exceeded my expectations, only bad thing is that it distorts real bad at very high volume but just about any head unit will w/o and external amp. Sony Xplod speakers are great for resonating muddy bass and indecipherable high if thats what youre into.

yea, i've had my headunit for over 4 years but I paid $140 for it, still not that bad. I also just upgraded the speakers in my jeep, 6 1/2 in the rear and 5 1/4 up front, if you get them from walmart.com and do ship to store for free shipping and pick them up at the store they are real cheap and sound awesome.

i got my alpine type s 5 1/4 speakers for only $69 per pair...since the idiots at best buy labeled them wrong...originally i think they were like 90-100 bucks a pair...

Thanks every one. I'm not looking to spend between $100 and $150 for all four speakers. I listen to about 80% Metal, 10%rap 10% other so I really need clear highs and mids
