Should I redo plugs and wires or just leave it be? Didn't know if there was a way to clean inside wire caps and ends of spark plug which now have a residue on them.
Dielectric grease disrupts the flow of electricity since it is non conductive, next time just dab a little on the spark plug insulator and then slide the wire onto the spark plug, all the dielectric is supposed to do is seal water out of the plug boot and make it easier to remove the spark plug wire from the plug later on.
ETA: that white stuff is just dried dielectric grease

You can try to clean the spark plugs with carb cleaner and then let them dry. The wires I would try to stick a small brush, like a gun cleaning brush, inside the boot and try to clean it that way. You have nothing to loose at this point.

We used to cut and crimp our own wires, so I don't know if the precut sets have the boots glued in place.

Will the boots not slide back? It's been a few years since I had a vehicle with spark plug wires, but you used to be able to slide the boots back along the wires to expose the contact. Sometimes it was tight and didn't slide easily, but you could work them back with some patience.

It's really up to you if you feel like replacing plugs and wires. They aren't expensive. Like Peligro said, you don't really have anything to loose. Clean em up, see if anything changes. If nothing changes, get new plugs and wires.
And again, proper plug gap is .035, so make sure that's correct too.
