SPAL fan controller question...
I have a 2001 cherokee with the 4.0 and I have switched over to the dual electric fans with a SPAL fan controller. I don't know what wire to use for the fan controller to sense temp. It says use a 5V wire but on the new Jeeps the temp sensor from the water neck doesn't seem to work? Where does the gauge get it's information aka voltage from? The ECU? If so what wire should I use? I called SPAL and they said consult the Haynes manual which I have and there is no mention of this.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Here is a link for an article that says it uses the gage sender to control it. Good luck

I still have no idea on what wire to connect to on the Jeep. I need someone who has hooked it up to a '97 and up because the engine harness is different. I called SPAL and they were no help, strange considering it was their product. Has anyone done this on a newer Cherokee? I don't want to drive it until this is done.
Thanks all
