wipers slowly dragging across window?
Anyone else out there have the wipers run at like half speed? I acts like somethings holding it back. Its a little better when its really raining hard, but if I use it for a little mist it barely moves. Thanks in advance- Ron

I had this problem when I first got my jeep.
There can be several causes of a slow wiper.
first could be bad wiring. Check all of the wires going to and from the wiper. Make sure the ground is good. Check the voltage going to the positive terminal.
Second could be an old/dirty motor. This trick isn't for the faint of heart. Pull the motor out and disassemble it (I believe there are a couple of screws holding the housing together. Once apart clean the stator contacts with some fine grit sandpaper. Next take another piece and wrap it around the stator contacts with the grit outwards. place the brush assembly back on and turn the motor a few turns. this should clean the brushes. while reassembling make sure you grease the gear assembly!
Third could be just a plan bad motor. Quick fix - pull one.
