96_Xj-Shimmy

Whats up guys, ok so I know this probably is in here somewhere on another thread but Ive been looking for days and cant seem to find an exact match to my situation.

Ok so I have 96 XJ 4.0L with an AW4. When in Drive it shifts flawless, but when I want to drop it down into 1/2 it doesnt seem to shift up to second, it just stays in 1st and the revs climb...not redline but were I think it would shift to 2nd but it doesnt. I have to manually "bump" into 3rd.

Any ideas? the Jeep only has 115,xxx miles on it and the transmission was serviced at 80,000 by reputable family friends local shop and they said everything looked good and was an excellent condition.

Any help would be apperciated and again sorry if this is a repost....Ive searched for days trying to find a similar more detailed thread.

Mine won't shift to 2nd in 1-2 unless its to the floor. Not sure if that's how it should be but that's how I like it haha.
