I had that problem. I ended up using a aftermarket Hurst boot. It stays right in place and looks better than the original.

Can you tell me what model you chose from Hurst and how you got it to stay in place? I have been to every Autozone, Advanced, and speed shop in my town, and can't find one that will work.

Me too! I need one. It really annoys me when I shift into fifth and the boot pops out and it looks all retarded and such. I can't seem to find it on teamcherokee.com, all I see is the rubber boot and Auto Shifter Bezels.

that's the ring for the inner boot.

What myself and a few others are trying to find is something to keep the "outter" boot, the one around the shifter, in place in the console.

I have the AX-5.....don't laugh!
