Serpentine Belt Question
This question may sound silly. I replaced my serpentine belt recently and noticed it has a smooth side and a ribbed side. Also, some of the pulleys are smooth and some are ribbed. When I installed it I had it turned so that the smooth side engaged the smooth pulleys and the ribbed side engaged the ribbed pulleys. Is this correct? Does it really matter?

rib on rib smooth on smooth
rib is right hand rotating smooth is left hand rotation
