Did he buy it off ebay for like $10. If he did you should just send it back because it doesn't really do anything but trick the computer into thinking the air/fuel ratio is different. All it is is a resistor in a black box used to change the reading coming from the AIT, thus fooling the computer into dumping more gas into the intake. If it is one off ebay, this is what it looks like inside regardless of what the buyer says http://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen-...cam-fraud.html . But this should help anyway http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/Mo...193114_iat.gif it's number 8.

Well. Just send it back because it's not gonna work and will eventually damage the engine. It doesn't matter the size of the resistor. It's not a "chip", all it is is a 2 cent resistor that changes the reading going to the ECU telling it that the engine is colder than it really is so it gives it more gas, like it's warming up the engine. You can read this so I don't have to type it up http://reviews.ebay.com/Buying-quot-...00000000765049 . Everyone who sells these "chips" are scam artists looking to fool people who don't know any better.

You need a real chip to gain any power. Here's one from JEGS http://www.jegs.com/i/JET/561/90015S/10002/-1 . It takes more than splicing 2 wires into the IAT though.
