replacing front axle seals
i recently did front axleshaft u joints on my '90 cherokee. now the pass side has a slow leak. should i worry about it?? will it get worse and whats it take to put in a new one?? odv. remove the alxe but what after that? thanks so much!!!

The gear oil is leaking out? It ways looks worse than it is, there's several bottles in every axle. You can keep checking it, but if you go thru water and mud, then what's letting it come out, could let something in. I'd fix it, but you don't have to do it tomorrow. I ran without the short axle shaft for a while, fluid came out for sure with that, but it's fine, and it's fixed now. Your seal is up in the housing, up by the gears.
