Renix in the sand!!!!!!
ok guys got a problem here tryed to go fishing long story short got stuck in sand that was like fricking baby powder!!! She shut down on me while Iwas trying to get her unstuck! then by the grace of god and my lovely wife that wanted to rip my head off because by this time it was 12 midnight we got her out. on the way back home she died on me twice. With an idle that sounds like im running a big block. Ive taking the air intake off cleaned the filter no luck!! my buddy thinks i need to pull off fuel rail clean injectors ect!! This is my everyday commuter PLEASE HELP if it wasnt for this site man o man love you guys

Check the map sensor line it runs from the fire wall down to the throttle body if it breaks or comes off it idles like its cammed. Check the fuel pump relay and clean it mine was dying every few mins i replaced it and it was fine. My last renix left me stranded when the ignition switch the map line came off once i got her going and she idled like a camed 350. Ive aslo had cps cause it to die and tps causing it to die check all of these check and clean all connectors in the enging bay and do all of crusiers tips and tricks and clean that c101!!! I see you have an 87.

Found The Problem
Actually pulled the vacuum line that runs from the throttle body to the map sensor and it was melted shut. Im sure that is the problem but damn i must have been running real hot by reving!! At first glance it looked good I was calibrateing the tps checkin iac and all connections when i thought let me pull that off and see if its clogged and sure enough!! Thanks for the feed back guys appreciate it whole bunch I follow through with final results in a few just to be sure

Thank you cruiser!! After all the stupid easy fixes i ghave overlooked my self i am starting to spot the easy first. Hope that line fixes your issues

Overheating
Ok we'll I'm back with my new found results it looks like it's just overheating. It keeps melting that map sensor line coming out of the throttle body. I don't have a thermostat gauge in the Jeep to tell me exactly what the temp is!! Any suggestions ?

I had that issue on my renix. That vacuum tubing they sell at auto parts places is crap. It melted every time I tried to use it. I went and pulled the map sensor line off another renix. I also have an entire donor vacuum harness to replace things like that.

Yep. Cheap crap or routed improperly. It's to touch nothing except the MAP and throttle body.

My map is on the firewall and I kept melting the line. It wasn't touching anything and went straight from the intake to the sensor. I took a short piece of steel brake line and used it to replace the plastic. No more problems.

What the hell are you guys doing to melt that plastic line?
Actually, I plug the throttle body and run my MAP vacuum from the intake manifold, using the bung for the IAT, which I have moved to the air cleaner lid. Is that clear as mud?
