Default H&T SYE discussion

hey guys i thought i would make this thread because i have been doing research all week and i still cant say i know what i need to know

ill be getting a 4.5'' RC lift and i will be adding 2'' taller spacers/shackels or blocks to this eventually

now i know i need a SYE eliminator and i cant afford 500$ for a real SYE so i decided to go with the H&T style, i do not do any hardcore rock crawling or mudding, mostly deep puddles (water to the bottoms of doors with a 4'' lift) and the accasional 4' rock wall

now can you guys start up a discussion about them? where can i find a kit? is there a write up on install?

sounds like you have a 231tc. They came with 242 and 231. You also need to figure out your spline count to.

theres a tag on the transfer case itself, looks like a label with #'s on it. Regarding spline count what year is it?

Iron Rock Offroad has a SYE for 250. There Hack N tap is 199. I was shopping around for one cuz im doing the exact same thing. Going from 4.5 to 6.5 with coil spacers and shackles. I figured I'd spend the extra 50 bucks and get the real SYE. The IRO Hack N Tap has the 27 spline shaft and I believe the SYE for 250 has the 32 spline. Correct me if Im wrong.

Edit: oh yea I guess I forgot about the driveshaft you have to get too... At least the the IRO hack n tap comes with the driveshaft...
