Default Rear seat belt video-up

I installed rear seat belt on my XJ today.
My xj did not come with rear seat belts.
I did a video-up (write-up). I hope it helps fellow xj w/o rear seat belts.
What do you guys think? Check out link.

Short and to the point, great music. Should be helpful. Good work.

Default Rear Seat Belt

LanShark,

Did you take any pics with the headliner installed afterward? I imagine you had to make a big hole for that rubber bushing. I want to do this to my 89' in a week or two.

Hmm, nice. I may do this if I find the right colored parts sometime.

When you say "My xj did not come with rear seat belts" do you mean it didn't come with shoulder belts (but it does have lap belts) or it truly didn't come with any seat belts at all?

Also, did you have to change the button (short) end? Are these the metal housing Bendix style belts or the plastic housing style (with AMC logo on button)?

They ALL came with lap belts.

Chrysler also offered retrofit shoulder belts at one time. With instructions.

Yea, that's what I figured. That would be crazy if it didn't come with anything!

I still wonder if there are shoulder belts (retrofit or otherwise) that work with the AMC buckle. I would like to keep those if possible.

What is it about that old AMC stuff? I just love it.

The hole i made in the headliner was the same size as the rubber bushing.

yes that what i meant. I had lap belts but no shoulder belts. When i went looking for the shoulder belt at the Junkyard. I tried to look for cherokee model closest to mine with a shoulder belt.
