re-occurring problem with CPS
Had this issue earlier in the year. Jeep would sometimes just not start. I'd unplug the crankshaft position sensor, let it sit for a few minutes, plug it back in and it would start. When I finally replaced the sensor, this didn't happen again for a while, until today. Same exact issue. Does anyone know what could be causing the CPS to fail like this? My jeep is a 1990 4x4 cherokee limited.

OEM only. Get it online or from the dealer. Cruiser, correct me if I'm wrong, but the CPS should be NGK/NTK, correct?
If so, NAPA carries them at a third of the price of the dealer.
Naturally, I found out that NTK and NGK are the same company AFTER I bought one from the dealer recently.

Hmm. You'd have to call the store on that one. I can't see that it says NTK or NGK.
NAPA carries some sensors by NTK, and some by other companies. For some reason, our beasties are very picky about sensors and a few other parts. Even normally top names like Bosch aren't well liked by a Cherokee.

Im at about 90% confidence in Napa parts source quality.
I would go with that CPS
Their TPS, IAC and Ignition system components have served me well.
