Unhappy random stalling????

My jeep has been randomly stalling when i shift into neutral and coast, like down a hill or something, and i lose power brakes and stuff, which isn't fun when going down a hill. but i can usually just pop the clutch and it will start right up again. then it will run fine for a couple days, sometimes like 2 weeks, then it might stall 2-3 times in the same day then run fine for a while again. also it has just started this stalling after the first reasonably cold day.

it is a 1996 cherokee with 39000 miles, high output I6, 5 spd, 2 wheel drive.

anybody know what it could be???

And this only happens when your coasting? Does it idle fine sitting in your driveway?

If it's a stalling at idle issue, the first thing I would do is remove the Idle Air Controller (IAC) from the Throttle Body and thoroughly clean it and it's bore with a toothbrush and Carb. Cleaner. Then go from there.

i think that it has stalled once while stuck in traffic and not moving or moving very little, but most of the time it has been while coasting

ill try and clean the AIC, where is it, and what will id need to remove it, and about how hard is it to get to??
