Default looking at buying a cherokee. help please.

Sounds like the guy has put alot of work into and it sounds strong and everything, but its a little beat up on the outside and the interior isnt in perfect shape with cracked molding here and there. It is also manual, which ive only driven once (but with good success) Main question im asking is: is the price fair, and would this be a good vehicle for someone who just recently got his license?

If the owner has documentation to support all the mods i think it is fair. It shouldbe a good first vehicle for you, with a little matinence they are pretty tough.
Good luck!

x2 on what captainwoot says. Ive had mine for 2 years now and I have yet to have any major problems with mine. A little body damage here and there is nothing to be scared about. When buying a Cherokee, your local Junkyard will become your best friend. I have had 2 accidents, both the other person's fault, and I haven't had to buy new parts. I go to the local JK and get used parts for dirt cheap. The last accident, the woman pulled out infront of me and I destroyed my header panel and passenger side fender and the front bumper. The insureance company said it would cost me over $2600 to fix, and with a 3 hour trip to my local JK, I spent $225. You will learn quick that if something gets banged up that you can fix it yourself with a couple screws unscrewed. Best of luck on your purchase and you will not regret it!

It maybe good but.... It is always better to buy a STOCK one and mod it yourself... If something Breaks you know what parts to get.. If you are a new driver get a STOCK one... This way you can learn about your Jeep and know its limits... Most new drivers that have a lifted Xj think they can tak over the world

Thats what I was thinking. A master cylinder and a slave cylinder are pretty easy to change with some help.

LMK if you need any 2dr parts. I'm in Steamboat. I have a '91 2dr I'm parting out and have a lot of good parts still. Its an auto though so I don't have the 5sp parts you need.
