Unhappy 1995 Jeep Cherokee

Hey everyone! I'm brand new to the forum so I hope I am posting in the correct area. I am NOT tech/automotive savvy so please bare with me. I am at my wit's end with my 22 year old daughter's 1995 Jeep Cherokee which has so far been to two shops and the issue at hand NOT fixed. Back story....mid December, my daughter accidentally left her lights on while she was at work all day which of course resulted in a dead battery. I call a mechanic friend to give her a jump...which he did...but said jump was with one of those portable battery jumpers. Ok cool...started right up and she was on her way. She made it half a block down the road and she lost all power. She had some kind souls push it into a parking lot and Jeep was dead..again..and would NOT take a jump at all. It cranked up but would not follow through and start up at all. Ok so we pulled the battery and had it charging over night, go back the next morning..put it in and same thing. It would turn over but not start... Have it towed to the first shop who "claimed" to have eliminated it being the distributor, battery, fuel pump, multiple different sensors, yada yada. They exhausted the depth of their knowledge/experience. Had it towed to a second shop who determined that it was the ECM. Ok cool..replaced th4e ECM and BOOM it started right up. Yay! Paid a couple of grand, picked it up...was running fine all evening. Daughter got in the next morning and headed to work...made it half a block and BAM, all power lost. Donna...the red jeep...was dead...again. Have it towed back to second shop... was told "oh it was a faulty ECM" and they replaced it...again. Started right up...was running fine...and lo and behold...the same thing. Lost all power and died the next morning again after driving about a half block. Towed back AGAIN. It is going on 3 months now of this and the second shop today advised that they cannot figure out what is wrong. Anyone have any insight? My next step is to take it to a THIRD shop...but now the jeep dealership/automotive here in Fredericksburg. But, I am not feeling very hopeful at all right now. This Jeep had her whole engine rebuilt about 6 years ago and was running perfectly fine prior to the battery running dead/being jumped.

TIA.

IF the alternator was damaged (diodes) by starting/running with a nearly dead battery then the damaged alternator will continue to kill new/replacement PCM components.

Ahhhh ok... this is something that I do not recall either shop mentioning. Thank you for this. I want to be fully prepared and as "armed" as possible when going to the third shop.

The issue might be a damaged/broken alternator. I'm thinking since it ran then died after a jump it either didn't charge or didn't charge enough. If that isn't the issue there might be a short in the wiring somewhere. I had a similar issue with my 99 xj. My alternator was going out and the jump lasted it for a few minutes before dieing again.
