Default Ugh, wiring problems.

So I pulled the nasty headliner out the other day. In the process wiring got cut. Soon after that my dome light and my radio quit working. I guess the radio shares some kind of power with the dome light?

But I snipped all the wires, re-connected them and put wire nuts on them, and they still didn't work. My fuse is good.

Any suggestions?

Which wires got cut? Did any of them possibly ground out to anything? Did you check ALL fuses?

If you remove the headliner, there's a series of wires.

if you cut them then just splice them back together. they should be color coated. but yet the radio and dome lights all feed off the same fuse link.

I have a similar problem, have a 91 Limited and the radio and ALL Dome lights stopped working on there own. I had a heat spell 3 days in a roll. Had Jeep dealership check out the electrical system. They told me that I have a bad wiring harness in the roof or a bad ground in the roof wiring. The dealership doesn't have wiring harnesses for Jeeps this old, so they couldn't fix the problem. Also can't use my power door locks and can't set the factory alarm system . Did you get your issue fixed ?

I just took mine headliner out and had the same problem except i didnt cut any wires the fuse just blew so I would say double check all the wire connections making sure the coolers match up and use butt connectors not wire nuts then replace the fuse should be good to go
