Default Quarter panel replacement

Last week I bought a 88 Limited as a winter beater for a reasonable price. Nice shape, has leather, power seats, locks, windows, overall a nice vehicle. 4.0, 4 speed auto. Has rear air shocks, posi, has been maintaineed to the max. Has a little rust but isnt that bad. Previous owner sold it becuse he got hit and didnt have time to fix it.

What Im wondering is who has the best replacement passenger quarter? I saw one for sale on teamcherokee.com for $115. Seems cheep to me, coming from the 78-88 GM G body line where new quarters are like $240. Is that a good part? Fits nice?

Ive got the new tailgate put on, and got the light bracket surface straight enough for a light to bolt on. No pictures of that though.

I have a habit for modifying vehicles, so hopefully I can resist the urge to put bigger tires on it. My 81 olds cutlass is enough of a money pit to begin with.

I think your best option would be to find a good rear panel in a JY. You'll have a better chance of the panel actually fitting properly. Along the same lines as that is find someone who scrapes vehicles for a living and have them keep an eye out for a pre 97 cherokee. if you're cool about it they may let you cut the panel out for free (or for a case of beer maybe).

I think that might be for just the very bottom part of the panel. Even their large panel (at $134.99) will still not repair all the damage he has.

If you can cut one from another vehicle you can replace to the window pinch seam to the door jam and you'd only have a couple small areas of the visable body to patch in the seams. Much easier in my opinion.

Theres the one on quadratec, $135. Picture looks a bunch better than the one off teamcherokee. This one looks like it goes to just above the body line. Not to the window, which would be nice, but that will have to work.
I thought about junk yard panels, but I live in MN, so if its in a salvage yard, its rusted. Hate to put on rusty parts. Although Jeep sold a huge amount of cherokees around here. All the 200K mile ones in the yards are rusted out, and all the under 100K mile ones got crushed 5 years ago.

The quadratec one is $20 more than the one from teamcherokee. Are those both decent companies to order through?

My bad, I was looking at the wrong key description next to the picture in the catalog, 135 is the price.

Well I bit the bullet and dropped the $160 shipped on the quadratech quarter. Looks like a decent part, only way id be more happy is if it was 3 inches taller. Hopefully the metal will straighten out when I cut out the bent stuff off the bottom.

Changed the tailgate, and got the light bracket straightened out and put on the light. Got some new bumper brackets built to replace the rusty bent ones too. Turns out the roof was moved over 2 inches to the right. Nothing a hydrailic jack couldnt fix. Its straight now. All it needs is the quarter welded on, painted, and the wheel flare reinstalled. Put on 200 miles or so. Been relialble transportation. Not great gas milage, but I can always swap in some dodge injectors. Might pick up a little there.

The panel is just set there, so dont think Ive fixed it that fast.
